BROWN HOUND SOUNDS is the award-winning brainchild of Danny Abel and Andrew Meehan.

Formed in 2020, Brown Hound Sounds has won an ADDY-Award for Best Music In A Commercial, and the company has acces to just about any musician in New Orleans.

As two seasoned musicians of the New Orleans music scene, Danny and Andrew have been working together for years, both in live and studio settings. Between the two of them there is hardly any style of music they haven’t covered. Danny is Grammy-nominated and has toured the world extensively (Tank and The Bangas, Big Freedia, Soul Brass Band) for years and has played all over the Crescent City with various bands of genres ranging from Jazz to Funk to Hip Hop and Pop, or anything in between. Andrew (known on stage as Drew Meez) has also performed and toured with groups of all styles (Gravity A, Smoker’s World, Partners-N-Crime), and his years focused on Electronic music production have given him a skill set that allows him to branch beyond what is typically considered New Orleans sounds.

After years of gigging together and honing in their musical diversity and knowledge, Danny and Andrew decided to dive deeper into the field of producing. They have scored music for dozens of commercials and video projects, and have spent extensive time building a large library that captures sounds and styles for any use. The two musician/producers have immense creativity as well as strong ties to the music culture of New Orleans, and can execute just about anything in their music production.
